The car for long distances, a bike for outings: this is an ideal holiday combination. And Rameder, Germany’s leading provider of transport accessories, has a number of new bicycle carriers on offer. The best and safest carrier system are towbar carriers. All you have to consider is the maximum towbar bearing load. Stability, safety and utmost comfort are combined in, for example, the Hapro Atlas 2 Premium (€335), which is affixed with a clamping lever and will carry two bikes or e-bikes. And there is also the Hapro Atlas 3 Premium for up to 3 bikes (€355).
A compact and high-quality bicycle carrier for 2 bikes that can be upgraded for 3 is the towbar carrier Westfalia BC 70 (from €508), which is lever-mounted on the towbar in a jiff. No tools are required and it can be folded up later.
Ufo 2+ (€528) is of very low weight but a huge payload. At only 10.7 kg it is among the lightest towbar bike carriers and can take 60 kg. With the correct bearing load, this will do for 2 e-bikes. Ufo 2+1 (€640) can also carry an extra children’s bike.
