Own solar power station has saved almost 320 t of CO2

Energy revolution? Rameder’s project for years! (EN)
Renewable energies: what has been talked about since the nuclear disaster at Fukushima in March 2011 more and more worldwide, Rameder has used for quite some time. When taking the decision to do more for environmental protection, the German company opted for building a solar power plant, the ideal site of which turned out to be the company’s own warehouse in Munschwitz. The 1,600 m2 plant, with 1,076 thin-film modules and nine inverters, connected by eleven km of wire, was put on stream on 10 June 2010.

As of October 2016, this solar power plant operated by Rameder, today Europe’s largest provider of automotive transport solutions, has already reduced the company’s CO2 footprint by no less than 320 t. Okay, a tonne of CO2 is something hard to visualise, but it is the amount emitted by a car driving a distance of 4,900 km at an average consumption of fuel of 8.5l. This distance is more or less that from Berlin to Madrid.

But Rameder’s portfolio can also help to reduce ecologically unsound footprints. After all, only in the holiday season are large passenger cars really fully loaded. So why not opt for a smaller car for other trips, save fuel and reduce your CO2 emissions into the bargain? If needed, Rameder’s versatile and flexible transport solutions will provide more space. Be it a towbar, roof box or bike carrier, Europe’s leading provider of automotive transport solutions has it all available in its online shop at www.rameder.nl.
